OVERVIEW
An AI powered article recommendations feature built into a Twilio interface, used by veterinarians during online consultations with pet parents. These vetted articles provide consult support to vets, and can be easily shared with pet parents as educational and supplemental reading materials.
The chat assistant feature uses AI to analyze the chat thread between veterinarian and pet parent, and continuously suggest relevant articles, from Kinship’s “The Wildest”. The Wildest site hosts vetted, informational articles about pet health and care. Pet parents initiate an online consult using the “Ask an Expert” feature in “The Kin” app. On the vet side, they use a Twilio interface to chat with pet parents and complete consultation notes. This feature was designed to fit into the interface with minimal impact to the existing layout.

The Kin App
For pet parents, articles selected by the vet are shown in the “Expert Recap” in The Kin app, post consult. These articles are also surfaced on the home screen to offer a more personalized experience.
