Design for the digital reveal event of the all-new Volvo Trucks VNL, product detail page and homepage. This project also included email communications strategy and building a component library.
Building suspense, excitement and engagement with a mysterious digital reveal
A dedicated event page is designed for three phases: pre-reveal, reveal and post-reveal. The pre-reveal stage features shrouded imagery of the new truck with a countdown timer and an opportunity to sign up for updates, add to calendar or share.
For the reveal, a video livestream from Volvo Trucks finally brings the all-new Volvo VNL to light.
The video featured Volvo’s designers, engineers and leadership to highlight innovation, features and performance of the new truck. The video live stream content was handled by Volvo Truck partners.
At the time of product launch, Volvo received +350% visitors to the site
Post-launch, Volvo’s website page views increased by +108%
After the reveal, the event page was updated to recap the event and drive users to the product detail page
Users have an opportunity to watch the reveal and view key announcements and details from the event, supplemented with compelling visuals.
A series of email templates were designed to provide confirmations, reminders, event and product content where appropriate.
10 emails were designed with best practices top of mind. Flexibility was a priority to ensure that variations of images, headlines and text could be combined seamlessly.

These content sections were designed with modular components and structured to maximize flexibility while elevating the brand. Variations allow for flexibility to have moments that are content heavy or visually dominant. It also allows for content to be appropriately styled depending on significance or context.
